Apparently adding comments to the site has had some benefits after all… despite the constant moaning from you lot! A couple of weeks ago I was a non-entity on Google, but check me out now!

I think I’m getting spidered a lot more often too, must check the logs one of these days. (Along with 4 bazillion other things I should be doing…)

Um, I hate to rain on your parade, but aren’t most of those Google hits for the “son of the liberal party treasurer” and the “23 Skidoo” Alex Turnbull?

Hum. Good point. However, if one were feeling lucky today then one would have found me straight away :-) Not that I imagine anyone ever looks for me, but one can dream no?

Alex, you just made it into my ‘daily reads’ bookmark folder.

Mwah hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha!

Oh ha-bloody-ha. I never did this site for anybody to actually read you know, it was just to try it out, and now all I get is a bunch of users complaining all the time!

Philistines!

No, I was serious. Really. Look I’m visiting again, check the date- +1.

Philistine?! I think not!

Daily? I think you should move it into the ‘weekly’ folder…

With regard to MT spam, see http://www.intuitive.com/blog/archives/000423.html- to submit a comment you have to be able to add a couple of numbers together. Apart from stopping spam this will also have the bening effect of preventing stupid people from posting comments..

Damn rus, two comments and you’re gone.

Tough break, huh?

I don’t understand. Explain please.

Re the comments spam plug in. Great idea, but the guy that wrote it isn’t distributing it :-( I’ll investigate further though, thanks.

It was supposed to be funny

J, it’s about the taking part. It doesn’t matter if no one understands, you tried. And that counts for something, right. Right?

Regarding comments spam plug in - this is in the source:

17+8= value=”17+8” /> …

Does MT have defined data sets from which you can pick one? Like a kind of “quote of the day”? You could define those to be the equations, then on form submission check the value is correct. You could have silly questions instead of numbers or those tedious grpahical letter thingies. Or have you fixed the spam issue?

MT stripped out the HTML..

17+8=
